“…The usage of PA6 is limited by some drawbacks, such as high moisture absorption, low‐dimensional stability, and low thermal degradation temperature. Many studies have shown that rigid organic filler toughening is an important method for the modification of PA6 . Thus, PA6/polystyrene (PS) blends is expected to have commercial potential applications because it could provide a combination of the useful properties of its constituents .…”

“…Poly(methyl methacrylate) has low moisture absorption and high dimensional stability, therefore by grafting PMMA into the backbone of the polyamide‐6 fiber it was found that the water absorption of polyamide‐6‐ g ‐PMMA copolymer has been reduced from 4.8% for pure polyamide‐6 to 2.1%. Thus, the moisture resistance of graft copolymer is better than that of pure polyamide‐6 (Liu, Wang, Huang, & Xu, 2010). Therefore, a characterization study is needed to evaluate the influence of grafting on polyamide‐6 properties and determine the possible applications of the copolymer.…”

“…The surface of polyamide 6 can be modified by grafting with various vinyl monomers as acrylate, acrylic and methacrylic acid (MAA) to allow the introduction of active functional groups onto a hydrophobic polymer backbone to have a better affinity with water [9][10][11][12][13][14]. In addition, nanosized inorganic and organic materials can be embedded through the electrospinning of polymer solution or matrix, similarly, nanometal oxides, can be incorporated as an additive to polymer matrix and used for multifunctional textile applications such ROKAYA A. SOBH et al…”
