Green sonochemical synthesis of BaDy2NiO5/Dy2O3 and BaDy2NiO5/NiO nanocomposites in the presence of core almond as a capping agent and their application as photocatalysts for the removal of organic dyes in water

Abstract: The sonochemical synthesis of Dy2BaNiO5 nanocomposites is reported, for the first time. The metal nitrates and core almond are used as precursors and capping agent, respectively. Effect of sonication power is investigated in this work.

“…The average and standard deviation of the fiber diameters, indicated by D and σ, respectively, were determined from at least 100 measurements of the fibers obtained from different PP/EVOH blended fiber after EVOH removal. Apparent density and porosity of PP nanofibrous membranes (NFM) were calculated using Equations ( 1) and (2) described previously by Veleirinho et al 38 and Ma et al 39 Where the bulk density of PP is 0.91 g/cm 3 .…”

“…To remove the color from that wastewater, numerous de-coloration processes have been developed, however, most of them are less efficient, more complex and highly expensive. [1][2][3][4][5] Filtration is the easiest and most effective technique for purification of wastewater. Microfiltration is an irreplaceable term in the water treatment plant that refers to the wastewater refinement and removal of bacteria, protozoans, or algae from surface water and contaminated water.…”

“…Therefore, environmental awareness and worldwide government legislation especially encourage academic and industrial research to develop “green” composite materials that are environmentally friendly, sustainable, and biodegradable 9,10 . Moreover, composites may be used in other applications such as photocatalyst for discoloration of organic dye contaminants in wastewater and antibacterial properties 11 . For example, Yousefi et al 12 synthesized the nanocomposites in the presence of core almond as a capping agent for the application as photocatalysts for the removal of organic dyes in water.…”

“…10 Nanotechnologies and nanosciences have been developed in various fields in recent years and helped to create nanoscale components with beneficial properties. [11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18] One of the nano-technologies in tissue engineering is electrospinning. Electrospinning is a popular scaffold fabrication method that can meet many of the wound dressing requirements by creating porous nano-micro fibrous structures that can mimic nature extracellular matrix and provide a favorable microenvironment for cell adhesion and growth.…”

“…There are some basic wound dressing requirements such as favorable exudate absorption, water vapor, and oxygen permeability, providing a local moist environment, comfortability and sterilization, sufficient mechanical properties, antibacterial activity, and adhesiveness 10 . Nanotechnologies and nanosciences have been developed in various fields in recent years and helped to create nanoscale components with beneficial properties 11–18 . One of the nano‐technologies in tissue engineering is electrospinning.…”
