Growth Aspects of Scad Decapterus macrosoma on Fish Point Sanggeng-Manokwari Regency

Abstract: This study aimed to find the fish distribution in size, heavy - long, and factors condition. This research was doing in March until June 2015. The methods that used to measure are descriptive method and technique observation. The total of sample fish obtained as many as 500 tail. The measure ment of length distribution obtained for individuals male which ranges are 109 -303 mm and 125 – 299 for female. Based on the results of correlation analysis between the length and weight of the fish is all positive and ve… Show more

“…The variation in growth patterns might be caused by differences in species, gonad maturity, spawning factors, food, sex, and age (Randongkir et al, 2018). Availability of supportive food and aquatic habitat characteristics might influence the variation of fish growth patterns (Nugroho et al, 2018) as the food taken will affect the growth, maturity of each individual and the successful life of the fish (Effendie, 2002).…”

“…The difference in the fish growth pattern can be affected by several factors, including gonad maturity stage, spawning condition, food, sex, and age (Radongkir et al, 2018). Aprilianty (2000) also mentioned that the difference in the value of "b" can occur due to the influence of time, place, and environmental conditions during research or sampling period.…”

“…this can inhibit the pattern of activity of gulamah fish in foraging. According to [15]. the relationship of fish length and weight is thought to be influenced by differences in breed, gonadal maturity, spawning factors, food, sex, age, water conditions, population density, availability of natural feed and seasons.…”
