This paper examines three decades of publication statistics from the "Pieniny -Nature and People" journal, covering the results of scientific research on nature and culture of the Polish and Slovak Pieniny region. The study describes the thematic purpose and scope of all papers and presents the contribution of various scientific centres and other institutions to the content of the journal. So far, 18 volumes have been published which contain 268 articles covering a broad range of important natural, cultural and historical areas. Representatives of 71 different centres, mainly scientific ones, including 12 foreign -from Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria -participated in the creation of the journal over the period of the last 30 years.
