Haemodynamic Shunts in Schistosomal Cor Pulmonale

Abstract: Schistosomiasis is an endemic disease in Egypt and is associated with a variety of visceral manifestations.The heavy invasion of the portal vein and tributaries by worms and ova leads to hepatosplenomegaly (Fig; A).
