Haptoglobin genotype predicts development of coronary artery calcification in a prospective cohort of patients with type 1 diabetes

Abstract: BackgroundCoronary artery disease has been linked with genotypes for haptoglobin (Hp) which modulates extracorpuscular hemoglobin.
