Hartle-Hawking boundary conditions as Nucleation by de Sitter Vacuum

Abstract: It is shown that, for a de Sitter Universe, the Hartle-Hawking (HH) wave function can be obtained in a simple way starting from the Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) line element of cosmological equations. An oscillator having imaginary time is indeed derived starting from the Hamiltonian obtaining the HH condition. This proposes again some crucial matter on the meaning of complex time in cosmology. In order to overcome such difficulties, we propose an interpretation of the HH framework based on de Si… Show more

“…My first conclusion is that if there is a tie into the formula 27 of my manuscript that in fact what was done in [38] may be a way to tie in energy, E, with entropy, and make the analogy to Tunneling from the interior to the exterior of a boundary between pre Planckian to Planckian space time more exact. I would be inclined to take the absolute magnitude of this above entropy expression and to assume the following, i.e.…”

“…I would be inclined to take the absolute magnitude of this above entropy expression and to assume the following, i.e. in the aftermath of tunneling right at the nexus of a boundary we would see approximately have for entropy generation, using the absolute magnitude of [38] as well as delta S ~ n (particle counting) by infinite quantum statistics as given by Ng. [39].…”

“…It is assumed that a whormhole can connect two distant places that they are therefore "entangled" within space and time. Euclidean approaches are of fundamental importance in quantum cosmology to characterize the early stages of the "Big Bang" [93,94,95]. Using an effective image is like joining two distant points on a piece of paper bypassing the surface with a "bridge" from the outside.…”

“…This finds application to the ER = EPR conjecture-in this framework, geometry behaves as a geodesic tensor network that defines the quantum state properties of a fundamental quantum state of a given metric [55] and a virtual graviton exchange becomes equivalent to entanglement to which one can apply the concept of Penrose's decoherence of a quantum state [56]. In this crossing between locality of GR and the emergence of non-locality of QM as in [57,58], where de Sitter space-time is taken as the geometric structure of vacuum, the analysis of Einstein's equations can provide an additional support to the ER = EPR conjecture extended from AdS to dS [59] and to locally Euclidean space-times. This can be interpreted as the route to ER = EPR from general relativity.…”
