“…There are resistant to decay fungi [19], insects, and dimensional changes. This is due to extractants that have a biocidal effect, such as coumarins, flavonoids, and tannins, and a hydrophobic effect, such as fats, oils, and waxes [25,26]. Giraldo et al [27] declare that morphology, together with differences in the inorganic constituents, significantly affects the combustion process of wood.…”

“…Flavonoids are recognized as antioxidant agents and the phytochemical investigation of FABU led to the isolation of the compounds identified as liquiritigenin (1), guibourtinidol (2) and fisetinidol (3). 6 These flavonoids presented antioxidant activity, according to Gai et al 23 Sobeh et al 24 and Imai et al 25 In the model of oxidative stress evaluation by the method of H 2 DCFDA, FABU was shown to inhibit ROS production by LPS-stimulated cells. Although some studies use H 2 DCFDA to specifically measure H 2 O 2 , oxidation of H 2 DCF to DCF can be induced by various ROS, including hydroxyl and nitrogen dioxide.…”

“…ungulata stem wood. The structures of known compounds ( 2 – 14 ) were identified as 2′‐hydroxy‐3,5‐dimethoxybibenzyl ( 2 ), liquiritigenin ( 3 ), guibourtinidol ( 4 ), fisetinidol ( 5 ), taraxerol ( 6 ), betulinic acid ( 7 ), taraxerone ( 8 ), glutinol ( 9 ), a mixture of sitosterol ( 10 ) and stigmasterol ( 11 ), pacharin ( 12 ), naringenin ( 13 ) and eriodictyol ( 14 ) on basis of spectral data, involving mainly 1D and 2D 1 H‐ and 13 C‐NMR spectra and comparison with literature values ( Fig. ).…”
