Background; The Covid-19 pandemic has a major impact on socioeconomic conditions and public health, especially pregnant women. The availability of food and nutrition will be greatly reduced due to limited mobility which will have an impact on the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. Thus, it is important to use moringa leaf extract as a local resource. Aim To find out the effect of Moringa leaf extract in reducing the incidence of anemia (hemoglobin levels) in pregnant women during the Covid-19 pandemic in the work area of Siniu, Community Health Center, Parimo Regency. Method It is a quasi-experimental research with randomized controlled Double-Blind design. The sample included 40 pregnant women divided into two groups: 20 pregnant women in the intervention group and 20 pregnant women in the control group. The intervention group was given moringa leaf extract capsule and Fe capsule every day. The control group was only given Fe capsule. Result The results showed that the characteristics of the respondents in the two groups before intervention were not different P=0.106. After the intervention for 1 month, the HB level of pregnant women in the intervention group increased significantly compared to the control group (p=0.050).

Background: Approximately 10.7 million pregnant women have passed away from 1990 to 2015 due to obstetric complications. Nearly all of them (99% of global maternal deaths) take place in developing countries. As a matter of fact, most people in dveloping countries have implemented many cultural practices which bring about negative effects on pregnant women’s health behaviour to potentially have greater risk of obstetric complications. Unfortunately, no comprehensive research yet conducted especially on pregnant women’s perceptions of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care (PC) in developing countries. Objective: To identify factors of pregnant women’s perception of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care in developing countries Method: The research was carried out through Literature Review in which electronic database search the so-called database Science Direct, PubMed, Elsevier (SCOPUS), Springerlink, and Google Schoolar was conducted in January 2021. The steps of systematic review were through Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) method. Results: Modifying factors with pivotal role during the service of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care in developing countries are knowledge, ethnicity, socioeconomics, and personality. Most individual beliefs in developing countries are perceived barriers. Whereas, Perceived susceptibility and severity of disease, perceived benefits, perceived self efficacy and perceived threat to make the most use of health service during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care are also well-known with variables of external cues to action is among the most popular ones especially with personal experience and information from neighborhood with local habits and belief unsupportive to health service. Conclusion: Factors to influence perception, practice, and access during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care in developing countries are culture, knowledge, distance, education, experience, mental stress, no decision making autonomy and social supports. Thus, comprehensive research on the influence of modifying factors of individual behavior and cues to action needs to be carried out. Keywords: Perception, Pregnancy, Childbirth, Postpartum Care

Generally, (64%) pregnant's women in the first trimester feel like nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite (morning sickness). This is occurring because of increased levels of estrogen and hCG hormone (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin). If this situation is not resolved immediately, it will be mother's nutritional intake is not fulfilled and it will interfere the development of the fetal organs. Aromatherapy, sometimes can provide a relaxing effect and increasing the function of the digestive organs. This research aim was to determine the provision of inhalation aromatherapy using a diffuser (Essential Oil Diffuser Blend Aromatherapy) for decrease morning sickness in the first trimester of pregnancy in the area of Wonokromo, Surabaya. The design of this research is the Quasy experimental (pre-posttest control group design). The sample of pregnant's women are having a morning sickness in Wonokromo area was taken using the Simple Random Sampling technique of 60 people and then it will be divided into control and treatment groups. The treatment group will be given aromatherapy for 30 minutes based on the SOP. For the morning sickness variable instrument using PUQE (Pregnancy Unique Quantification of Emesis and or Nausea Scoring System). Data analysis using the Wilcoxon test with a significance level of α = 0.05 The result for the treatment group before given the aromatherapy were 26,7% with mild degrees, 40% moderate degrees, and 33% severe degrees. After given the aromatherapy, most of them had decreased to 6.7% severe degrees, 13.3% moderate degrees, 60% mild degrees, even of 20% still felt the discomfort. The results of the Wilcoxon sign rank test obtained the value of ρ = 0.001, so that means there is an effect of giving Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser Blend with the degree of morning sickness in the first trimester of pregnancy. Giving of Aromatherapy Blend Essential Oil Diffuser is effective to decrease of morning sickness in the first trimester of pregnancy. For health worker, this technique can be one of the practical options for non-pharmacological therapy to decrease the discomfort of morning sickness which is and it can be done independently by pregnant women.
