Abstrak: Pertumbuhan penduduk yang pesat akan menyebabkan peningkatan produksi limbah, termasuk limbah plastik. Salah satu jenis limbah plastik yang banyak dihasilkan adalah botol bekas, yang seringkali menjadi sumber pencemaran lingkungan. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi hal tersebut adalah dengan memanfaatkan limbah botol untuk dijadikan media tanam secara hidroponik. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada mahasiswa tentang pentingnya pemanfaatan limbah botol plastik untuk dijadikan media tanam hidroponik. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui pelatihan dan penyuluhan kepada 90 orang mahasiswa sebagai mitra. Metode evaluasi yang digunakan yaitu dengan melihat jumlah semua unit persemaian dan jumlah botol yang disiapkan sesuai sehingga tidak ada yang terbuang. Dari semua hasil persemaian menunjukan bahwa setiap unit yang disiapkan, semua unit terpakai dan terlihat tumbuh segar. Kegiatan ini juga membawa dampak yang positif bagi mahasiswa. Sebagian besar mahasiswa memahami dan menyadari tentang pentingnya pemanfaatan limbah plastik dalam rangka mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan dan juga tetap bisa produktif dalam hal membudidayakan tanaman sayuran.Abstract: Rapid population growth will lead to increased waste production, including plastic waste. One type of plastic waste that is widely produced is used bottles, which are often a source of environmental pollution. One way to overcome this is to use bottle waste to be used as hydroponic planting media. This activity aims to provide knowledge to students about the importance of utilizing plastic bottle waste to be used as hydroponic planting media. The implementation method is carried out through training and counseling to 90 students as partners. The evaluation method used is to look at the number of all seedbed units and the number of bottles prepared accordingly so that nothing is wasted. From all the seedbed results show that every unit prepared, all units are used and look fresh growing. This activity also has a positive impact on students. Most students understand and realize the importance of utilizing plastic waste in order to reduce environmental pollution and also remain productive in terms of cultivating vegetable crops.

Hydroponically planting vegetables is something new for most of the KKNM participants. KKNM activities are carried out for 30 working days based on modules and WhatsApp Group. The vegetable cultivation module with a hydroponic system using used bottles is systematically arranged, equipped with pictures to make it easy for each KKNM participant to implement. WhatsApp Group is used as a means of discussion and consultation. This virtual KKNM activity aims to produce vegetables through a hydroponic system from used bottles and distribute harvested vegetables to the community. The implementation of the activity begins with the preparation of tools and materials, sowing seeds, preparing planting media, maintaining plants, until harvesting. Finally, the distribution of crops to the closest neighbors. The results showed that used plastic bottles can be used as a hydroponic planting medium with the axis system. Transplanting the seedlings to the used wick bottle media that has been filled with nutrients was carried out on the 12th day. Plant maintenance is carried out by periodically controlling the nutritional condition. Harvesting and distribution of vegetables was carried out on the 25th day after transplanting. This Virtual KKNM activity is proven to be able to increase participants' knowledge and skills, and to inspire people to do the same.

The interest of Gampong Baro residents in farming, the limited space for living , the abundance of plastic bottle waste from beverages, and the lack of knowledge among Gampong Baro residents regarding the processing of plastic bottle waste, have turned plastic beverage bottles into mere waste without functional value. The existence of this community service is expected to make the residents of Gampong Baro realize that the accumulated plastic bottle waste will be difficult to decompose in the soil and will have negative health impact if burned. Plastic bottle waste has highly diverse functions if we understand to process it. The purpose of this community service is to provide counseling to Gampong Baro residents on how to utilize plastic bottle waste, one of which is to use it as a media for hydroponic vegetable cultivation. The result of this community service is healthy vegetables grown hydroponically using plastic bottle waste. The purpose of this community service is to reduce plastic bottle waste, enable gardening as a hobby despite limited space. The method used in this community service is the wick system, which is one of the hydroponic methods. The importance of the results of this community service is to inform the residents of Gampong Baro that plastic bottle waste can be utilized and has functions that can yield healthy vegetables, thereby enhancing the economic value of Gampong Baro residents.
