High Yield Manufacturing of γ-Al2O3 Nanorods

Abstract: This paper presents a high aluminum yield route for the large-scale production of nanostructured alumina with high morphological purity. Morphologically selective hydrothermal formation of alumina nanorods can be achieved at low pH values (<3.5), with a low NaOH:Al ratio (0.77:1); however, it presents a low aluminum yield (35 wt %) with a significant proportion of aluminum remaining unreacted in the solution. Higher yields can be achieved at higher pH levels but at a price of leading to mixed, uncontrolled mor… Show more

“…Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) confirms the crystallinity of the different 1D ceramic supports (Fig. 1S), corresponding to the γ-phase of alumina [17], titanate [18] and face centred cubic phase of CeO 2 nanorods respectively [19]. After the loading of the Ru nanoparticles and H 2 reduction CNT, filled square Ru-Na/Ti-NT, filled diamond Ru/CeO 2 NR.…”

“…Another important aspect is the reduction in drying costs. In addition, the selling price of farmers probably will reduce the costs to dry the pods using a forced dryer due to the price that the farmer gets for his peanuts depends on their size, quality and moisture content (Bell et al, 2018;Cui et al, 2018;Hassan et al 2018). In this regard, analyzing the moisture content of soybean pods and the performance of the operation, Paixão et.…”
