“…As reported in other studies on urticaria, 15,18 intravascular and extravascular neutrophils (perivascular and interstitial) were observed in most patients, with similar frequencies in both groups. They were not the predominant cell type in none of the cases, and systemic symptoms and laboratory workup were not consistent with the diagnosis of neutrophilic urticarial dermatosis or a neutrophilic autoinflammatory syndrome 6,25,26 …”

“…In the whole cohort, we observed the classic histopathological findings of urticaria, namely dermal edema and a perivascular infiltrate composed of eosinophils, neutrophils, lymphocytes, and mast cells 4,15‐17 . In most cases, as reported by Barzilai et al, 18 the inflammatory infiltrate also had a deep component involving the reticular dermis and extending beyond the perivascular area to the interstitium, particularly in CSU with bruising.…”

“…IL-17A stimulates the production of proin ammatory cytokines like IL-1 and IL-6 and adhesion molecules [7]. It plays a role in recruitment of neutrophils present in urticarial in ltrate [8,22]. Together with IL-23, it is involved in the development of autoimmune mechanisms, which is of particular importance for CU [7,21].…”

“…Actuellement, il n'existe pas de consensus ni de définition précise des UN. Certains auteurs considèrent que cette entité ne peut pas être individualisée et que les lésions histologiques décrites correspondent à de simples urticaires riches en neutrophiles [7,8].…”
