Holographic entanglement negativity for conformal field theories with a conserved charge

Abstract: We study the application of our recent holographic entanglement negativity conjecture for mixed states of adjacent subsystems in conformal field theories with a conserved charge. In this context we obtain the holographic entanglement negativity for zero and finite temperature mixed state configurations in d-dimensional conformal field theories dual to bulk extremal and non extremal charged AdS d+1 black holes. Our results conform to quantum information theory expectations and constitute significant consistency… Show more

“…In the above context, it was natural to seek a corresponding holographic characterization for the entanglement negativity of such bipartite states in dual CFT d s. This was initially attempted for the pure vacuum state of dual CFT d s in [19]. Subsequently a comprehensive holographic construction for the entanglement negativity of both pure and mixed states in dual CFT 1+1 s was advanced in the context of the AdS 3 /CFT 2 [20][21][22][23] scenario. These proposals were substantiated by a large central charge analysis of the entanglement negativity for CFT 1+1 s utilizing the monodromy technique in [13,[24][25][26].…”

“…The particular combination of which extremal surfaces appeared in the sum was determined by the mixed state in question. A plausible higher dimensional extension of the above mentioned holographic proposals and their applications to subsystems with rectangular strip like geometry were explored in [84][85][86][87][88][89].…”

“…However a bulk proof of the conjecture similar to [37] and [38] is a non trivial outstanding issue. Following this it was possible to obtain the holographic entanglement negativity for mixed state configurations of adjacent subsystems in dual C FT s [39][40][41] and its covariant generalization in [42].…”
