How Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning are Radically Different?

Abstract: There is a lot of confusion these days about Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL). A computer system able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages. Artificial Intelligence has made it possible. Deep learning is a subset of machine learning, and machine learning is a subset of AI, which is an umbrella term for any computer program that does something smart. In… Show more

“…Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the creation of computer systems capable of performing tasks normally associated with human intelligence. A subfield of artificial intelligence known as machine learning focuses on creating models and algorithms that let computers learn from data, make judgments or take actions (Marr, 2016;Tiwari et al, (2018). Technologies like computer vision, natural language processing and machine learning algorithms serve as foundational elements in corporate operations using AI (Brynjolfsson & McAfee, 2017).…”

“…16,17 Machine learning technology powers many aspects of modern society: from email spam filters, search suggestions, online shopping suggestions, and speech recognition in smartphones, etc. 18 Its ability to perform comprehensive analysis even with massive amounts of nonlinear data makes it favourable in medical decision-making. 17,19 Machine learning tasks are classified into two broad categories, depending on the type of task: supervised and unsupervised.…”

“…AI is a promising alternative to conventional methods like deterministic, linear, and nonlinear regression and conceptual models that successfully address complex issues and are employed by numerous researchers across a wide range of fields (Miranda et al, 2022;Venaik et al, 2022;Yadav et al, 2022a). The desired tasks have been carried out using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques based on human perception, decision-making, reasoning, and learning (Dzeroski et al, 1997;Tiwari, 2018). The AI is a "black box" model that converts input to output without regard for what occurs in reality.…”
