“…The great extent of the interruption, the effects between countries and industries, and the extreme changes in supply and demand occurring during the pandemic have significantly altered the supply chain (Craighead et al , 2020). Arising from the effects and impacts of the pandemic, various authors emphasize the need to provide directions to advance the literature on the impacts of epidemic outbreaks (Queiroz et al , 2020; Ceylan et al , 2020), a change towards a more domestic supply chain which would reduce the dependence on an increasingly fractured global supply system (Trautrims et al , 2020), a suggestion to analyse the development of post-epidemic financial flows (Vasiev et al , 2020), adapting the supply chain model to ensure agility, resilience and sustainability, adapting organisational structures to supply and demand allocation (Ivanov, 2020) able to absorb negative disturbances, recover and survive over short and long periods of interruption (Trautrims et al , 2020), as well as adapting digital technology and digital inclusion, which can prevent major interruptions from harming society’s means of subsistence (Quayson, Bai and Osei, 2020).…”
