Academic supervision is non-negotiable for leaders to improve teacher professionalism in schools. This research aims to understand the teacher's perception of the principal's academic supervision at SMP Negeri 2 Kroya. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of phenomenology. This research is an understanding of social phenomena or phenomena that occur in the field, with more emphasis on a complete picture of the phenomena that occur. The results showed that teachers' perceptions of academic supervision by school principals had a perfect meaning because, on average, they had good motivation and performance before the covid-19 pandemic. Teachers interpreted the supervision carried out by the principal of SMP Negeri 2 Kroya as professional guidance assistance, quality-oriented based on continuous improvement, quality control, driving school principals, and an arena for the principal's responsibility to teachers.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the SI SAGU Academic Supervision (Information System for Teacher Academic Supervision) model in the academic supervision process in the 3T (Foremost, Outermost, Disadvantaged) area in Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The research method used in this research is a quantitative research method by testing the SI SAGU Academic Supervision model used in the academic supervision process in the 3T area. The research subjects in this study were teachers, principals, and school supervisors in Bengkayang Regency. The instruments used in the study were practical questionnaires and interview guidelines. The instrument used has gone through validation and testing by expert validators, so it is feasible to be used in the research process. The data collection technique in this study was documentation of the results of observations, then giving a perception questionnaire to the SAGU SI users consisting of teachers, school principals, and school supervisors. The results showed that the Teacher Academic Supervision Management Information System (SI SAGU) was effectively used in the academic supervision process in the 3T area, namely Bengkayang Regency. Through SI SAGU, the supervision process can be carried out even though there are some geographical constraints and access to each school. The findings in this study are the effectiveness of the application of SISAGU in the 3T area in the academic supervision process, supported by the active participation and enthusiasm of all relevant stakeholders, namely teachers, schools, principals, school supervisors, and the education office.

Teachers play an important role in learning. As a professional teacher, supervision is needed to improve the implementation of the teaching process. The purpose of this literature review is to examine and Analyze the impact of academic supervision on improving teacher performance. The method in this study was carried out by reviewing related articles about academic supervision and teacher performance. The sample of this research is focused on the google schoolar search engine with academic coaching and teacher performance as the main research constraints and then identified. The results of the review articles, most of the role of academic supervision, are very influential in improving teacher performance even though there are still obstacles such as not yet participatory planning and implementation of academic supervision. Therefore, effective academic supervision requires the principal's willingness to plan, implement and evaluate participatory supervision.
