Background: In the last fifty years, dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) has increased 30 times in 100 endemic countries. As a tropical country, Indonesia is one of the endemic countries for DHF cases, which often cause "extraordinary events". Purpose: This research aims to analyze the factors contributing to DHF, including individual and environmental factors. Methods: In November 2022, the unmatched case-control research method was retrospectively used. All DHF cases in Lima Puluh District between January and August 2022, totalling 26 cases, made up the population of this study. The sample in this study was taken based on the total sampling method. The sample consisted of 26 respondents in the case group (those affected by DHF) and 52 respondents in the control group with inclusion criteria (not affected by DHF, distance from house ± 50 meters, age criteria, sex according to the case group) and exclusion criteria (not willing to be a respondent, not in place). The total sample size is 78 respondents, consisting of 26 respondents in the case group and 52 respondents in the control group, with a ratio of 1:2. Results: Based on the results of the chi-square analysis conducted. There was no significant relationship between gender (p = 0.09) and the habit of hanging clothes (p = 0.06) with the occurrence of DHF in Lima Puluh District in 2022. The results of the logistic regression test stated that all host and environmental factors did not have the most dominant variable in the incidence of DHF in Lima Puluh District in 2022. Conclusion: The variable of the existence of breeding places is a dominant factor in the occurrence of DHF in Lima Puluh District in 2022.

The purpose of this study was to determine what risk factors caused the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever in Simpang Selayang Village, Kecamatan Medan Tuntungan in 2022. The method used in this study is a survey method with quantitative research conducted by distributing questionnaires and direct interviews with respondents using a case control approach. Data analysis used multiple logistic regression with a sample of 33 case respondents and 33 control respondents. The results showed that the influential variables were attitude, application of 3M Plus, habit of hanging clothes, and larva free rate on the incidence of dengue fever. The results showed that the influential variables were attitude (p = 0.046), the application of 3M Plus (p = 0.026), the habit of hanging clothes (p = 0.001), larvae-free rate (p = 0.037) on the incidence of dengue fever dengue in Simpang Selayang Village. Medan Tuntungan District in 2022 and the variables that had no effect were knowledge (p = 0.325) and use of mosquito repellent (p = 0.314). From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the most influential variable on the incidence of dengue fever is the habit of hanging clothes which has the greatest Exp.B value, which is 9.754 times greater.

Penyakit menular yang masih menjadi permasalahan kesehatan masyarakat saat ini adalah demam berdarah dengue. Upaya pencegahan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memutus rantai penularan dengan cara melakukan pemberantasan sarang nyamuk. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh keberadaan jentik dan perilaku 3M plus terhadap kejadian demam berdarah dengue.Penelitian menggunakan desain cross sectional. Penelitian dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Puter, pada bulan Juli - Agustus 2022. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Keluarga yaitu sebanyak 7.110. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 67 kepala keluarga, diambil menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap kejadian demam berdarah dengue adalah keberadaan jentik (p=0,006 dan POR=4,8), menutup tempat penampungan air (p=0,009 dan POR=4,8), menguras tempat penampungan air (p=0,041 dan POR=3,5), dan larvasida (p=0,027 dan POR=4,4). Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Kejadian DBD dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu keberadaan jentik nyamuk, perilaku menutup, menguras dan menaburkan bubuk larvasida. Disarankan agar tenaga kesehatan lebih mengoptimalkan peran kadar dalam memantau perilaku pemberantasan sarang nyamuk yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat.
