“…This versatile material is used in automotive tire and tire‐based products, in footwear and engineering products, and in mechanical goods and other applications . Elastomers are, in general, reinforced with conventional fillers such as carbon black (CB) and silica as in tire tread applications . Nevertheless, due to their particulate morphology, high contents are required to achieve the desired properties, which increases the final density of the composite.…”

“…Kinetic parameters for high vinyl styrene/butadiene copolymerization but for safety considerations was used a volume of 75 m 3 . It was considered a cooling fluid with a temperature, T w , equal to 15 C. Simulations were performed using the polymerization conditions reported in Table 4 where the total solids content is equivalent to the initial concentration of monomers.…”

“…Regularly the compound used in a high performance tire tread is based on SSBR/BR. [2][3][4] Anionic polymerization enables excellent control of key SSBRs characteristics to address hysteresis issues in reducing rolling resistance. [2] To reduce hysteresis loss, it requires reducing the concentration of polymer free chain ends in the compounds.…”
