Hybrid Fuzzy Sliding Mode Speed Control for an Electric Vehicle Drive

Abstract: <p>This paper  present a speed hybrid fuzzy-sliding mode control (HFSMC) of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) to ensure the traction of an electric vehicle; at the first we applied the sliding mode control (SMC) with three surfaces on the PMSM by  taking into account the dynamics of the vehicle; And afterwards we applied the fuzzy-sliding mode   in which the surface of the speed is replaced by a Fuzzy-PI controller; Simulation under Matlab/Simulink has been carried out to evaluate  the efficien… Show more

“…So, landmines and metal detector robots are the advances innovation of the crucial and most dangerous part of the humanitarian detection process [22]. Multi-sensor robot, path planning algorithm, and vehicle-mounted sensors are different strategies that used to search and detect mines [23]- [25]. These applications are safer and more efficient due to they provide a safe route for the soldiers through minefields [26].…”

“…Therefore, the SR motor drives with a larger number of rotor poles, e.g. the three-phase 12/8-pole and the four-phase 16/12-pole structures, are more preferable for low-speed applications, such as the directdrive HEV system [6][7][8][9][10].…”

“…This topology can prevent the shoot through fault that exists in the induction and permanent motor drive inverter [3]. These advantages make this type of motors economically alternative to PMBLDC motor, squirrel cage induction motor and DC series motor [4], [5].…”
