Hyponatremia With Intravenous Sulfamethoxazole/Trimethoprim in Children

Abstract: Background: Intravenous (IV) sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim (SMX/TMP) has been associated with hyponatremia in adults. Objective: The primary objective was to identify the number of patients with a serum sodium <135 mEq/L.
