We report a case of hypothyroidism with elevated pancreatic amylase and trypsin without acute pancreatitis. No such case has been previously reported. “…Blood samples were collected from all patients within 24 h of admission, and serum amylase and lipase activities were measured. The reference value of amylase was 25-125 U/l ( 13 ) and the reference value of lipase was 23-300 U/l ( 14 ). Abdominal CT scan was used as the standard imaging method and enhanced CT scan was performed on patients with an indefinite diagnosis ( Fig.…”

“…Кількість хворих на ХП за останні два десятиліття зросла удвічі, що супроводжується високим рівнем інвалідизації і летальності (близько 15 %), переважно через онкопатологію [2]. Сучасні дослідження в галузі внутрішніх хвороб акцентують увагу на взаємодії гормонів щитоподібної залози з функцією органів шлунково-кишкового тракту [3,4].…”

“…Over the past two decades, the number of patients with CP has doubled, which is accompanied by a decrease in the quality of life, a high level of disability and a reduction in life expectancy (mortality is about 15 %, mainly due to oncopathology of the pancreas) [2]. In order to optimize the therapeutic schemes of these nosologies, modern research is aimed at studying the interaction of thyroid hormones with the function of the digestive organs [3,4]. Currently, it is believed that for the normal functioning of the thyroid gland, in addition to iodine, a number of elements are necessary, including selenium, zinc, copper and calcium [5].…”
