fac-[Bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amine-κ³ N]tribromoindium(III)

Abstract

In the title compound, fac-[InBr3{NH(CH2C5H4N)2}], the InIII atom is coordinated by three bromide ligands and a tridentate bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amine ligand. A mirror plane passes through the In atom, one Br atom and central NH group. The molecule exhibits facial octahedral stereochemistry, with In—Br bond lengths of 2.5682 (13) and 2.6060 (9) Å, and In—N bond lengths of 2.311 (6) and 2.328 (9) Å.
