The construction of major railway projects poses significant risks, which present considerable challenges to construction management. To accurately assess the level of construction management for these projects, this study incorporated resilience theory into the field. The grounded theory method was utilized to establish a resilience evaluation indicator system for managing a major railway project construction. Additionally, a resilience evaluation model based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was proposed. This model was applied to evaluate the construction management resilience of a major railway project located in the mountainous region of southwest China. The results indicated that the project exhibits a very high overall level of construction management resilience. Specifically, it demonstrates high levels of ability to monitor and warn, an ability to resist absorption, and an ability to respond to emergencies. Additionally, it showcases high levels of ability to recover and rebuild, and an ability to learn to adapt. The evaluation results were consistent with the actual situation and verified the correctness and reliability of the method. Based on the aforementioned research findings, this paper puts forward recommendations on material redundancy and resource security from a resource perspective, and suggestions on organizational optimization and personnel capacity improvement from a subject perspective, thus indicating directions for enhancing the management level of major engineering railway constructions.

ResumoA Indústria da Construção é amplamente conhecida como um dos setores mais perigosos do mundo em termos de segurança do trabalho. Diante dessa realidade preocupante, uma abordagem proativa para prevenir acidentes, desde as fases iniciais do projeto, tem se mostrado uma maneira eficaz de melhorar a segurança nos locais de trabalho da Indústria da Construção.A iniciativa Prevention through Design (PtD) visa identificar perigos e riscos no projeto, prevenindo lesões e fatalidades. A ergonomia é vital nesse processo, influenciando a concepção dos ambientes de trabalho e os ergonomistas podem intervir desde as etapas iniciais do projeto, visando melhorar a segurança nas diversas etapas do ciclo construtivo, tais como, execução, uso e manutenção. O propósito deste artigo é integrar os conceitos da PtD e ergonomia de concepção, através de uma revisão bibliográfica, sendo um estudo teórico. A PtD se apresenta como uma abordagem eficaz para identificar e mitigar riscos através de uma abordagem ergonômica.

Background: Endogenous and exogenous factors impact the operational characteristics of supply chains, affecting wholesale warehouses. The survival of a warehouse is often threatened by disruptive events that alter infrastructure and performance. The emergence of COVID-19 exemplified the need for adaptability in retail goods supply chains, emphasizing the necessity for responding to external shocks. Methods: The MARLIN (Method wArehouse ResiLience dIstruptioN) method, founded on theories and models of resilience engineering is introduced. MARLIN is a practical tool designed to identify key areas requiring intervention in response to disruptive events. An empirical test was conducted in an Italian warehouse. Results: The conducted test yielded tangible results, demonstrating the efficacy of the method. It successfully pinpointed areas necessitating intervention and identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) associated with disruptions. The study not only underscores the importance of data collection but also highlights the often-overlooked significance of warehouse management. Conclusions: The study establishes MARLIN as a valuable asset for stakeholders involved in disruption management. Its application has proven instrumental in recognizing areas of intervention and identifying KPIs related to disruptions. Ongoing research endeavors to broaden its applicability across diverse supply chain scenarios, aiming to enhance situational awareness and enable proactive risk assessment through what-if analysis.
