İklim Değişikliği Endişesi Ölçeği: Türkçeye Uyarlama Çalışması

Abstract: In this study, the Climate Change Worry Scale (CCWS) developed by Stewart (2021) was adapted to Turkish. The research was conducted on a study group consisting of 236 teacher candidates. In the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) applied within the scope of construct validity, it was determined that the single-factor structure in the original form of CCWS was not confirmed in Turkish culture. Therefore, an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was performed to determine the factor structure in the Turkish form of t… Show more

“…Güven and Aydoğdu (2012) developed the behavior scale toward environmental problems in order to determine the behavior levels of pre-service teachers towards environmental problems. Gezer and İlhan (2021), on the other hand, adapted the climate change worry scale developed by Stewart (2021) into Turkish in order to determine pre-service teachers' worries about climate change. Manahoğlu (2019) also developed a knowledge determination scale for global warming in order to measure secondary school students' knowledge about global climate change and global warming.…”

“…The current and future outcomes of climate change can cause stress, trauma, fear, depression and anxiety. The extreme weather conditions and the uncertainty regarding the future of ecosystems can trigger fear and anxiety and disrupted natural balance can cause stress (Gezer and İlhan, 2021: 197).…”
