Immunomodulatory properties of carbon nanotubes are able to compensate immune function dysregulation caused by microgravity conditions

Abstract: Spaceflights lead to dysregulation of the immune cell functionality affecting the expression of activation markers and cytokine production. Short oxidized multi-walled carbon nanotubes functionalized by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition have been reported to activate immune cells.
