Abstract:Some N-acyl dopamines have been reported to show anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory activities. In this respect, we examined the immunosuppressive effect of N-acyl dopamines on splenocytes of BALB/c mice. First, when the effect of each endocannabinoid or its derivative on Con A-induced proliferation of splenocytes, N-arachidonoyl dopamine (NADA), N-oleoyl dopamine (OLDA) and N-palmitoyl dopamine (PALDA) potently suppressed Con A-mediated splenocyte proliferation with IC 50 value of 1.84, 2.45, and 8.54 mM,… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
