“…The nutrients N, P, and K have been regarded as the most indispensable primary macronutrients for the growth and development of crops [41]. However, the results of these nutrients were low in our experimental site on newly reclaimed land, which may be the main reason that most of the newly reclaimed land is not suitable for plant growth.…”

“…The EO productivity in the medicinal and aromatic plants depend on the development and division of the glandular trichomes, EO channels and secretory ducts. It seems that the application of 50%HV + 50%B green manures enhanced the nutrient availability through the gradual releasing of nutrients and also decreasing the soil pH, which led to increasing the solubility of nutrients in the root rhizosphere zone [ 32 , 33 ]. Therefore, the enhancement of the EO content by the application of 50%HV + 50%B green manures could be explained by the role of the mentioned fertilizer in improving nutrient accessibility and increasing the number of EO secreting glands in peppermint.…”

“…Wang et al [2021] reported that the application of 120 kg N ha -1 increased DM accumulation in sugar beet tubers, compared with the unfertilized treatment, irrespective of irrigation method. Fernandes et al [2021] stressed a beneficial influence of N fertilization on the DM content of storage roots in sweet potatoes grown after legumes.…”
