Impact of Socioeconomics on In-Hospital Trauma Mortality in the Detroit Metropolitan Area

Abstract: were following commands at discharge. Of the 13 deaths, none were attributable to complications of TH/TTM, and none of the deaths had significant bleeding. Complications included pneumonia (19%), sepsis (5%), major bleeding (5%), arrhythmias (5%), and seizures (19%), with rates similar to reported values of complications for traditional TH/TTM patients. CONCLUSIONS: This treatment modality should be considered in trauma patients after cardiac arrest.
