“…Ideally, to avoid long‐term administration‐related AEs, the drugs delaying ejaculation should be administered as needed and reach the effective concentration in the first dose. The results of this study are consistent with the previously published studies, 10,16–18 which revealed the pharmacokinetic characteristics of fast oral absorption with a short initial half‐life meeting the requirement of PE treatment under fasted and fed states.…”

“…According to the previous reports, 9,18,19 dapoxetine (30 mg and 60 mg) showed a dose proportion in men, and the 90%CIs of AUC under fasted and fed states were within the range of 80% to 125%, but the C max was outside the range. This difference could be due to the variability of dapoxetine pharmacokinetics as well as the limitation of data comparison between the studies.…”

“…Based on the results of this study, a high‐fat meal impacted the drug concentration‐time curve of dapoxetine and promoted its absorption. The results of this study were consistent with the results of a previous study, which demonstrated that coadministration of dapoxetine and a high‐fat meal resulted in a significant increase (23.6%) in the AUC 0‐48 as well as an approximately 1.1‐hour delay in the T max 20 . However, compared with the previous study, we observed a larger increase in the AUC values under the fed conditions, which could be attributed to the fasting versus fed comparisons being based on different cohorts as opposed to a crossover study or because the number of study samples was too small.…”

“…It was observed that some subjects had AEs during each drug administration, although their C max was not very high; few subjects had a high C max , but drug administration was well tolerated, and there were no AEs. Based on Tang's report regarding the relationship between CYP2D6 and the absorption of dapoxetine, it was concluded that individual differences may lead to this phenomenon 20 . The relationship between individual differences and genes regarding the observations in this study needs to be further explored.…”
