Abstract: BackgroundIn patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), impaired augmentation of stroke volume and diastolic dysfunction contribute to exercise intolerance. Systolic–diastolic (S‐D) coupling characterizes how systolic contraction of the left ventricle (LV) primes efficient elastic recoil during early diastole.
