“…Dual frequency antenna can be realized in number of techniques [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]. Good overview are given by Maci and Gentili [1].…”
In this paper a simple technique to develop a two layer dual frequency antenna with identical polarization at two far apart frequencies has been presented. Dual rectangular resonator proximity coupled planar microstrip antennas has been designed, fabricated and tested. The design optimisation was carried out using commercial MoM based simulation software. The patch width, intermediate spacing between the coplanar patches are optimized by successive simulations using the commercial software. Measured gain at both the frequencies is over 6dBi. Measured results are also presented.

“…One such example has been presented recently [6] in a dual-frequency application, where the cavity concept and measurement for an air-gap impedance matching were demonstrated. The configuration similar to [6] has been calculated by using the proposed model for the aperture admittance and an S-parameter-based approach for the air gap [lo]. Figure 8 shows both simulation and experimental results for an L-band (single-frequency) application.…”

“…Considering now a dielectric-filled slice waveguide antenna as shown in Figure 1, which is electrically small and is under current research for GPS mobile navigation, the above models may not be applied directly. Recently, Lee and Nalbandian [6] reported an impedance-matching approach for a waveguide-type microstrip antenna, but they used a cavity model and gave no aperture details. In this article we reexamine the admittance of an aperture radiating from a medium of higher density (dielectric) to a medium of lower density (free space).…”
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
