We all are living in the era of the internet that too up to the next level where each and everything has been connected to the internet. IoT has become much more popular these days with the advancement of technology and connecting physical world with the virtual world making the life of individual’s and organization easier. Recently IoT becomes more popular in the research area where many research articles have been published and reviewed. Its capacity to get associated with everything whether it's human, object, innovation, things, and so forth drawn numerous chances of advancement and extension in future. The way the technology has been evolved recently in every field we see rapid changes in the products, services, things that we are using in our daily life. IoT is platform that has becoming popular due to its simplified technology which benefits the individual’s as well as organization and end-users. Today’s IoT has given many opportunities to make easier life, effective communications and stay connected to our close and society by enabling many technologies but there are some issues which are the major concern of IoT and these issues must be resolved so that IoT can be used as revolutionary technology in future. This paper focuses on state-of–the-art porotypes on IoT, basic prerequisite in the IoT, role of big data in IoT. Enabling technologies, technology used in various applications such as smart city, agriculture, health-care, lifesaving, smart parking, urban planning. We also explore the applications of IoT and its future propensity, its architecture and comparison of IoT with H2M and M2M.

The trending and future technologies like IOT, digital image processing alongside sensor networks has demonstrated their evitable accomplishment in different applications individually, but the combination of these is so far non-existent. The idea of work manages combining these advancements in agricultural sector which requires present day mechanical impressions. The principle objective required for product development (crop) is information, that is the data about the climatic, soil and water conditions. All the information about the dynamic ecological conditions are detected utilizing wireless sensors. While the monitoring of the field is done by capturing the crop at regular intervals using camera these pictures undergo image processing to perform histogram analysis in the MATLAB software. Results of above processes are shared using IoT to Client through Cloud.

This paper designs and implements a data sparse-acquisition and transmission system for Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) based on Narrow Band-Internet of Things (NB-IoT) and Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for smart agriculture. The use of distributed wireless network nodes to collect agricultural environment information in a sparse sampling manner can overcome the disadvantages of limited bandwidth and significantly reduce the amount of data transmission, thereby helping to reduce the energy consumption of wireless network nodes and extend the use time. We use FPGA as the base station to receive the data collected by each node, and make full use of the advantages of parallel computing in FPGA for data recovery. And the method we used are matrix filling algorithm, which was named Latent Factor Model (LFM) in the recommendation system, and gradient descent algorithm. Finally, the recovered complete data will be transmitted to the cloud platform for display in the way of NB-IoT. NB-IoT is an emerging Wide Area Network (WAN) technology that has the advantages of supporting massive connections and being geographically unrestricted. The results show that the data can be perfectly recovered within the specified error range, and the algorithm runs nearly three times faster than the serial operation after adding parallel operations.
