“…H-BIM enables the management of historical building geometry and, in particular, the planning of the restoration process. Working in the H-BIM environment aims to build more complex models from 2D drawings [9,[46][47][48][49]. The H-BIM approach manages building attraction and deterioration data or information analysis to sustain material and structure characterization and protection response measures in diverse scenarios [31,42,50].…”

“…The digital transformation in the sector of safeguarding and enhancing Cultural Heritage (CH), intended both as a process aimed at the creation of entities and databases, and as a result of the application of specific technologies, can be a key factor to respond in a holistic, collaborative and integrated way to the constantly changing needs moved by the global challenges that impact on cultural and natural heritage, given their fragility and limited adaptive capacity (Europeana, 2020;Barbuti and De Bari, 2020). The positive and innovative support provided by digitisation is recognised in many areas including, for example, administration, management and maintenance, active monitoring of environmental degradation and risk assessment, the reconstruction of damaged or destroyed CH assets, and the preser-vation of memory (Danesh and Rajabi, 2022). Among the most rapidly and significantly evolving technologies, 3D digitisation, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Augmented Reality (AV) and Virtual Reality (VR) allow effective forms of visualisation but, above all, they enable integration between spatial data and other historical and/or dynamic information, thus generating new content.…”

“…Il positivo e innovativo supporto fornito dalla digitalizzazione è riconosciuto in molteplici ambiti che includono, ad esempio, le attività di amministrazione, gestione e manutenzione, il monitoraggio attivo del degrado ambientale e la valutazione dei rischi connessi, la ricostruzione dei beni danneggiati o andati distrutti, e la conservazione della memoria (Danesh and Rajabi, 2022).…”
