The logistics industry plays a crucial role in the global economy, but also poses significant challenges to the economy, society, and environment due to increasing carbon emissions. Therefore, coordinated development between the logistics industry and regional economy has become a strategic choice for achieving sustainable development. Taking the Yangtze River Economic Belt as an example, this study constructs an evaluation index system of “low-carbon logistics–industrial agglomeration–regional economy” to explore the coupling coordination relationship and spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of the three systems from 2006 to 2020. Furthermore, it analyzes the spatial correlation features and evolutionary trends of the coordinated development among the three systems. The results indicate that during the study period, the coupling coordination degree among the three systems in the Yangtze River Economic Belt showed a fluctuating upward trend but with a relatively low level of coordination. There were significant regional differences, presenting a stepped distribution pattern of “high in the east and low in the west.” The coordinated development among the three systems exhibited a significant positive spatial correlation, with “H–H” and “L–L” agglomerations being dominant. The spatial distribution of coupling coordination degree remained relatively stable, with the overall center of gravity located in the southeast of Hubei Province. The spatial evolution pattern showed a distinct “northeast–southwest” direction. Finally, suggestions for the coordinated and sustainable development of the three systems are put forward.

Objective: to analyze trends in the cargo turnover of the ports of the Baltic basin with an emphasis on restoring the volume of port cargo transshipment, starting from the end of 2022. Methods: supply chain modeling, geo-economic analysis and parameterization of the main technical and operational indicators in transport and logistics systems. As a result of the conducted research: the analysis of changes in cargo transshipment at the ports of the Baltic Sea basin of Russia in comparison with the shipment of cargo through the ports of the Azov-Black Sea, the Far-East basin and other directions, the changes of participants from among the world and national sea container operators in the directions through the Russian ports of the Baltic basin, new container lines are given the dynamics of cargo turnover at Russian ports in the context of various types of cargo is also shown.

A virtual organization is the newest form of business organizations, one of the forms of which are distributed companies with their own production facilities and transport and logistics resources, or using the services of production and logistics centers located on diﬀerent continents and in diﬀerent countries, forming project/matrix management structures, attracting specialists from diﬀerent countries. The article discusses the advantages and risks of managing distributed organizations based on digital technologies. The authors characterize the ﬁelds of activity of distributed companies and assess the potential for their expansion. The trend towards digitalization of management processes determines the logic of transformation of the organizational structure model from a traditional hierarchical to an open, ﬂexible one. It is shown that transportation and logistics functions are critically important in ensuring the activities of distributed organizations, within the framework of which the transfer of raw materials, materials in progress, ﬁnished products, goods between production centers, sales centers, intermediaries of various kinds, customers and end consumers is realized.The following research methods were used: scientiﬁc review, monitoring, situational, retrospective and prospective analysis, as well as critical assessment and formulation of author’s judgments and conclusions on the scientiﬁc basis of leading scientists and specialists in the ﬁeld of economics, management, logistics, operational work management.
