In‐line coupling of supported liquid membrane extraction across nanofibrous membrane to capillary electrophoresis for analysis of basic drugs from undiluted body fluids

Abstract: Planar polyamide 6 nanofibrous membrane was for the first time used in direct coupling of supported liquid membrane (SLM) extraction to CE analysis. Disposable microextraction device with the nanofibrous membrane was preassembled and stored for immediate use. The membrane in the device was impregnated with 1 µL of 1‐ethyl‐2‐nitrobenzene and the device was subsequently filled with 10 µL of acceptor solution (10 mM HCl) and 15 µL of donor solution (sample). The device was in‐line coupled to CE system for selecti… Show more

“…The F I G U R E 5 Schematic diagram of magnetic SPE-CE (MSPE-CE) for the analysis of the atenolol enantiomers in plasma samples. Reproduced [47] with permission from Elsevier disposable pretreatment system coupled to CE-UV system for the quantitative analysis of the model essential drugs (norpine, droperidine, loperamide and papain) in undiluted body fluid at 200 nm has been illustrated [44]. In comparison with the traditional polypropylene SLMs, the advantages of polyamide 6 membrane included larger surface area, lower consumption and better extraction capacity.…”
