Abstract: A best evidence topic in cardiac surgery was written according to a structured protocol. The question addressed was 'In patients undergoing video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) excision, what is the best way to locate a subcentimetre solitary pulmonary nodule (PN) in order to achieve successful excision?'
