In the study, the poetic dimension of the Gagauz language was examined in the thematic context, and the functional range of meanings it reflected was analyzed. For this reason, a holistic impression focused on meaning and function was employed. In addition to being a literary art, Gagauz poetry appearing in a phonetic orbit; It has also incorporated the formal qualities of aesthetics such as symmetry, harmony and proportion. Thus, the aesthetic elements exhibiting a descriptive appearance in the surface structure enriched the deep structure and enabled the work to attain a strong composition. The theme, which has a universal plane, often touches on semantic ambiguity due to its close proximity to the subject and main idea utterances. It is seen that this ambiguity is resolved only with the artistic side and power of interpretation of the speaker. While the potential of feeling that dominates the whole of the poem marks the phrase, the subject element is reached if more concrete data is reached by limiting the theme. The theme, which directly affects the narrative style of the message, turns into a latent meaningful mechanism because it exhibits a polysemy structure. It is seen that the lyricism of a poem whose main theme is sadness or loneliness, and the poetic messages that adopt the didactic point of view also reflect the educational style. Images processed with an intense perspective make the semantic capacity of the poem and the facts that build the main theme evident. In the study, the dominant emotions handled by the speaker were expressed on the thematic level. It has been determined that the theme plays an active role in each unit of the poetic structure and shapes the value layer of the work. It has been noted that in the determined examples, images, thoughts and intuitions can only be solved by semantic analysis. The intensity of meaning located in the deep structure of the poem has given the audience the opportunity to reach different intellectual designs by ascribing an authentic and enthusiastic discourse to the poem. In Gagauz poetry, the thematic orientation is expressed directly or through some symbolic connotations, metaphors and motifs. These elements have been very important in the determination of the antecedent functions that make the main theme visible.
