“…These characteristic peaks in the XRD pattern of CHI/AA/ZnO‐3 nanostructured hydrogel sponge indicated that ZnO particles were successfully loaded into CHI/AA sponge, supporting the SEM–EDS results. In addition, characteristic peaks of ZnO nanoparticles are not seen in the spectra of CHI/AA/ZnO‐1 and CHI/AA/ZnO‐2 hydrogel (data not shown) the reason of which may be the slight presence of ZnO in hydrogel structure …”

“…To investigate the interaction between the components of the obtained hydrogel, the FTIR spectrums were obtained, which will characterize the formation of bonds and dynamic bonds in the hydrogel (Figure S4, Supporting Information). There were some characteristic peaks of PVA, such as hydroxyl peak with broad absorption peak (3446 cm −1 ), stretching vibration peak of CH (3030 cm −1 ), symmetric bending of CH 2 (1441 cm −1 ), and stretching vibration of CO (1196 cm −1 ) . Note that the position of some function groups changed when the CNDs was cross‐linking with PVA.…”

“…In the functional group region, there was generally the following characteristic absorption peaks, such as OH absorption peak around 3200–3800 cm −1 . The FTIR spectrum of PVA mainly concentrated on the broad absorption peak of 3446 cm −1 wave number related to the hydroxyl group (OH) and the characteristic peak of 2942 cm −1 (CH extending), 1441 cm −1 (CH 2 bending), and 1096 cm −1 (CO extending) . Pure AG also showed several characteristic peaks, 1075 cm −1 indicated stretching vibration (CO), and 890 cm −1 represented 3,6‐hard‐galactose .…”
