Social media is not just a product of technology to satisfy human existence or a medium for human relations. Social media can be a medium of learning and self-potential development. The fact is that there are still many young people today who are mistaken in using social media. This paper tries to present survey data related to the use of social media as a medium for education about Pancasila and the practice of Pancasila values for the younger generation. The purpose of this paper is to find out how the use of social media can improve the practice of Pancasila values in everyday life. The method that has been used in this research is survey to a group of people between 18-28 years old. The data has been analyzed using descriptive analysis and explained in result and discussion. From the survey results, social media can be used as a means of Pancasila education for the younger generation, because social media chooses interestingly presented content to appear in the algorithm. Social media provides a discussion platform, filters and sharing are available to share knowledge with each other. It can be concluded that social media is very possible to be used and effective for Pancasila Education.

This article is an attempt to review various studies on religious moderation or moderate Islam among students in the higher educations in Indonesia. It is written as prompted by the incompleteness of various studies regarding the same theme. Specifically, the main issue concerns how the studies on this theme emerge and continue to develop. It is then formulated into three main issues: how the construction of religious moderation is developed in Indonesia; how it is formulated into strategic policies in the higher education context; and how relevant the religious moderation program in the higher educations in Indonesia in the context of contemporary life is. By using a qualitative-library approach and content analysis, the finding shows that religious moderation or moderate Islam, which is believed to be Islam itself, is a moderate religious understanding and attitude. It is not extreme, is not either left or right; and is interpreted with four indicators: national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and accommodative to local culture. From this stance, Indonesian Islamic moderation researchers propose various recommendations to be applied to specific education policies. In the practice, these recommendations are academically applied, both in formal and informal ways, according to the situations and conditions of the related higher education context. Moreover, recent studies have shown that several counter-radicalism strategies, through the moderation implemented in various higher educations, seem relevant in the higher education context.

Threats from negative impacts of digital technology can damage the integrity and sovereignty of the Indonesian nation. This is due to the very rapid development of digital technology. One of the threats is the spread of fake news, hate speech, and digital crime, which disturb the public. The threat of negative impacts from digital technology must be handled seriously because it makes people anxious. Today’s young generation is often found to be victims of the negative impacts of using digital technology. This happens because many young people use digital technology in their daily lives without adequate digital knowledge and skills. Therefore, attitudes and actions are needed to counteract the negative impacts of digital technology by strengthening digital citizenship competencies. The method used in this research involves literature review data collection techniques, using relevant sources, both national and international articles, and then compiling data related to the problem. Defending the country in the digital era involves strengthening digital citizenship competencies, which include digital skills, digital ethics, digital culture and digital security. Strengthening digital citizenship competencies is crucial as a form of defending the country and counteracting the negative impacts of the use of digital technology.
