Inégalités De Genre Et Approche Par Les Capabilités : Quelle Mise en Dialogue Chez Sen ?

Abstract

Quelle relation y at -il entre l'intérêt d'Amartya SEN pour la question des inégalités de genre et l'élaboration de son approche par les capabilités ? De nombreux arguments de cette approche puisent indiscutablement leur force d'une perspective qui tient compte du désavantage relatif des femmes-pour SEN, l'une des inégalités les plus criantes. Il est donc instructif, et peut-être même crucial, de revenir sur la démarche scientifique qui est au fondement de sa vision du genre et des inégalités sexuées. En particulier, nous montrerons comment l'étude de la répartition alimentaire au sein de la famille lui permet elle d'aboutir à une compréhension plus claire des enjeux de la capabilité individuelle.
