Influence of a Serotonin- and Dopamine-Rich Diet on Platelet Serotonin Content and Urinary Excretion of Biogenic Amines and Their Metabolites

Abstract: Using high-performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography, we reevaluated the 24-h influence of a serotonin- and dopamine-rich diet on platelet serotonin and serotonin, 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA), and major catecholamine metabolites in the urine of 15 healthy adults.
