Influence of menstrual phase on ventilatory response to submaximal exercise

Abstract: Objectives. To determine whether an increase in respiratory drive, due to elevated progesterone and oestrogen concentration during various menstrual phases, persists throughout prolonged submaximal exercise and potentially contributes to fatigue.
