We demonstrate a high-stability, high-power mode-locked laser utilizing a novel N51-type Nd: glass. The maximum continuous-wave output power of 824 mW is obtained at the pump power of 2.4 W. Under the mode-locked conditions, an average power of 604 mW is achieved with a pulse duration of 308 fs at a repetition rate of 105.383 MHz, which corresponds to a pulse energy of 5.73 nJ. Thanks to the optimized cavity structure, the oscillator shows excellent stabilities of both output powers and spectra. In addition, the multi-pulse operation in relation to the CW breakthrough in the spectrum is investigated.
