Abstract:The reversal processes and vortex motion in asymmetric submicrometer egg-shaped permalloy plates with various aspect ratios are investigated by micromagnetic simulations. The reversal of the magnetization in the egg-shaped plate takes place via nucleation and annihilation of the vortex state. The annihilation of the vortex for larger aspect ratios shows distinct behaviors compared with smaller aspect ratios. The asymmetry of the plate suppresses the reversal via double vortex and coherent rotation for the fiel… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
