Influence of Water Treatment Plants on the Ecological Situation in Industrialized Regions

Abstract: The article investigates the most effective methods of water purification necessary for its application in power generating systems. The need for this is due to the need for water purification, bringing it to a quality state that allows it to be used in industry. The most effective modern method of purification is the method of using of ion-exchange resins, since water purified from the mineral elements contained in it (desalting) is mainly used. One of the effective methods of desalting, from an ecological an… Show more

“…The starting point in its design can be the definition of goal of the environmental policy of the region, where an image of ideal state of socio-natural relations should be presented, concretized in various aspects, taking into account the needs of various actors in the region, analytically worked out and scientifically based. Such an example is the environmental program in Kemerovo region "Ecology, subsoil use and rational water use" for 2017-2024 [25]. The main goal includes creation of conditions for the harmonious interaction of society, nature and man, which implies the need to increase the environmental safety level, preserve natural systems in the region and create conditions for the socio-economic development of the region; improving the state of the atmosphere, water quality, soil in major cities and the region as a whole; constant provision of the economy of Kemerovo region with reserves of mineral raw materials and other resources for production and agriculture; ensuring the protection of population and economic facilities from the negative consequences of nature management; constant monitoring of various processes affecting the ecological state of the region, as well as collection of information on possible risks and points of tension for subsequent analysis and decision-making.…”

“…Since air pollution has a harmful effect in several ways (the ingress of harmful emissions into the respiratory system of living organisms; an increase in the acidity of atmospheric precipitation, which affects changes in the chemical composition of soils and water [11]; the formation of a greenhouse effect), it must be stated that "the total use of fresh water in 2019 was 1513.02 million m3, which is 0.7 % less than in 2018, and 13.5 % less than in 2010. Most of the water in 2019 was used for production needs -1266.83 million m3, for drinking and household needs -177.77 million m3, for other needsmillion m3, for agriculture -1.93 million m3.…”

“…According to the “2017 Urban and Rural Construction Statistical Yearbook Data” released by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the number of villages in China in 2017 decreased to 2.449 million, a year-on-year decrease of 6.4%. Compared with 2.73 million in 2010, a decrease of 10%, as shown in Figure 1 [ 3 ]. This shows that with the intensification of modernization and the invasion of urbanization, China's rural areas are largely damaged.…”
