The main trends of scientific work in Russian higher education institutions in terms of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics were analyzed. The structure of the university science was investigated according to the main directions of scientific activity of Russian higher education institution: grants and contract research works, publication activity, commercialization of research, scientific personnel training and students' research work. The main instruments of research policy were studied to develop the most efficient strategy of involvement of students in research and development activities and human resources reproduction. The necessity of systematic work with the considered contingent at all stages of the formation of the scientific path "bachelor -master -Ph.D. student" was established. According to the sociological results, one of the main factors of students' integration into scientific and research work was personal growth that could be realized by means of organization of challenging work with practical results. Further, it is important to develop the system of material incentives for good results of scientific work.

The technology of formation of future teachers’ information culture

The article describes features of the formation of future teachers’ information culture. The relevance of the development, implementation and maintenance of the technology of forming process of information culture of future teachers is substantiated. Different views of scientists on the definitions of “information culture of a person”, “technology” are considered. The main components of information culture are highlighted: computer literacy, information competence, information reflection, information culture creation. The constituent elements of pedagogical technology are listed, which is represented by a set of goals and methods aimed at implementing the projected learning process and is presented by a phased implementation plan. The main characteristics of a technology for the formation of information culture of a future educator are revealed and disclosed. The article describes the results of experimental work to identify the current level of formation of information culture of future teachers. Comparative results of the data obtained during the control experiment testify to the effectiveness of the probed technology and the readiness to use information technologies in professional activities.

Professional Foreign Language Training in the Context of the Digital University

Currently, the practical level of foreign language proficiency of philology graduates does not always correspond to the social order of society. In this paper, a model for professional foreign language training of philology stu-dents was developed, theoretically justified and experimentally tested. For this purpose, the Moodle tool was widely deployed and we identified and ex-perimentally tested pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of professional foreign language training for philology students. The experi-mental work involved a random sample of 305 students of the "bachelor" level of the training direction 5B021000 (6B023)–foreign philology. The re-sult of the qualitative and quantitative analysis allows to conclude the effec-tiveness of the proposed model of professional foreign language training of philology students based on Moodle, which is confirmed by the calculations during the statistical processing of the research results. The scientific novel-ty of the study is that the pedagogical conditions that ensure the effective-ness of the Moodle-based professional foreign language training of philology students were identified and experimentally tested. The results of the study showed the effectiveness of using distance learning in the current health context due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
