Inguinal Hernia in Saudi Arabia: 10 Years’ Experience

Abstract: A follow-up study on recurrence after inguinal hernia repair in Saudi Arabia was designed to test the effectiveness of Bassini's repair for primary inguinal hernia in adults. Of the 140 patients who later had Bassini's repair, 95 had indirect and 45 had direct hernias. Only those with pure direct or indirect hernias were included.
