“…6, red line), which corresponded to the Miller indices (1 1 1), (2 0 0), and (2 2 0), respectively. 38–41 The normal XRD pattern of the biochar NPs (Fig. 6, green line) showed a peak batch in the region of 2 θ value at 30° ± 2, which corresponded to the Miller indices (0 0 2).…”

“…It shows that the values of indirect energy gaps decreased with increasing Mn 0.5 Fe 1.5 Mg 0.5 Ni 0.5 O 4 NPs in PVA matrix. The decrement in indirect energy gaps is due to the variation that happened at the polymer disorder level, which appears as a result of the polymer frame alterations caused by Mn 0.5 Fe 1.5 Mg 0.5 Ni 0.5 O 4 nanoparticles and also due to the increase of localized states in the bandgap; this helped to improve carrier-carrier interaction in the valence and conduction bands [49,52,53].…”

“…The effect of NiNPs addition on magnetic properties of polystyrene (PS) was studied by El Komy and co-workers. 50 NiNPs were synthesized by reduction method and added to polystyrene as filler with different weight percentages (3, 5, 8 and 10 wt%) to form Ni-PS composite films. XRD measurements confirmed fcc structure of NiNPs embedded in semi crystalline PS matrix and showed that the average size of NiNPs increased with increasing Ni content from 3 to 8 wt% while decreased at 10 wt% due to dominant nucleation over aggregation process.…”
