Abstract: Insecticide resistance in aphids. Resistance mainly against phosphorous compounds is widely distributed in aphids, but up to now restricted to just a few species, with Myzus persicae and Phorodon humuli the most important. Rearing and treating these two species we could confirm and supplement observations demonstrating only slight cross resistance or even none between phosphorous and carbamate insecticides, and great differences regarding the degree of resistance within these groups.
