Instrumentos De Avaliação Da Funcionalidade Do Idoso Institucionalizado E a Atuação Da Fisioterapia: Revisão Integrativa

Abstract

"COM O AVANÇO DA EXPECTATIVA DE VIDA E O AUMENTO RELATIVO DA POPULAÇÃO IDOSA, AS INSTITUIÇÕES DE LONGA PERMANÊNCIA SE TORNARAM UMA ALTERNATIVA PARA O CUIDADO DE IDOSOS. PORÉM, A INSTITUCIONALIZAÇÃO PODE ACARRETAR DIVERSOS PREJUÍZOS NA FUNCIONALIDADE DESSAS PESSOAS. ASSIM, OBJETIVOU-SE ANALISAR A RELAÇÃO ENTRE INSTITUCIONALIZAÇÃO E O DECLÍNIO DA CAPACIDADE FUNCIONAL NOS IDOSOS INSTITUCIONALIZADOS, IDENTIFICANDO OS PRINCIPAIS FATORES QUE CONTRIBUEM PARA A MANUTENÇÃO OU AGRAVO DA FUNCIONALIDADE E OS PRINCIPAIS INSTRUMENTOS DE AVALIAÇÃO DAS CONDIÇÕES DE SAÚDE DO IDOSO, DESTACANDO AS POSSIBILIDADES DE ATUAÇÃO DO PROFISSIONAL FISIOTERAPEUTA NA REDUÇÃO DESSES AGRAVOS. O ESTUDO TRATA-SE DE UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA, REALIZADA NO PERÍODO DE AGOSTO A NOVEMBRO DE 2019. REFINARAM-SE 07 ARTIGOS, DISPONÍVEIS NAS BASES DE DADOS PUBMED, SCIELO E BIBLIOTECA VIRTUAL EM SAÚDE. A ANÁLISE DOS ARTIGOS PERMITIU IDENTIFICAR O GRAU DE INCAPACIDADE FUNCIONAL EM IDOSOS INSTITUCIONALIZADOS E A RELAÇÃO COM A INSTITUCIONALIZAÇÃO, ALÉM DOS PRINCIPAIS MÉTODOS DE AVALIAÇÃO. OBSERVOU-SE QUE O DECLÍNIO DA CAPACIDADE FUNCIONAL AUMENTA COM O TEMPO DE INSTITUCIONALIZAÇÃO E QUE A IMPLICAÇÃO DAS ATIVIDADES INSTRUMENTAIS DE VIDA DIÁRIA RELACIONADAS À PARTICIPAÇÃO DO INDIVÍDUO EM SOCIEDADE E A INATIVIDADE CONTRIBUEM PARA O DECLÍNIO DA FUNCIONALIDADE, DESENCADEANDO UMA TENDÊNCIA AO ISOLAMENTO E DEPRESSÃO EM IDOSOS RESIDENTES EM INSTITUIÇÕES DE LONGA PERMANÊNCIA. DESSA FORMA, O PROFISSIONAL FISIOTERAPEUTA TEM UM PAPEL IMPORTANTE NA PREVENÇÃO, MANUTENÇÃO E REABILITAÇÃO DA CAPACIDADE FÍSICA, EMOCIONAL E QUALIDADE DE VIDA, INFLUENCIANDO POSITIVAMENTE NA INDEPENDÊNCIA FUNCIONAL DO IDOSO INSTITUCIONALIZADO."
